Ruby thanks Hanamaru happily, but Hanamaru says thanking her like that makes them seem like strangers. Hanamaru notices Ruby has a scratch and gives her a band-aid. After Hanamaru pointing out that Ruby looks tired from ingredient hunting, Ruby recounts her harsh adventure and Hanamaru expresses sympathy for her. In Ruby's side story "Chit-Chat Before Cooking", Ruby and Hanamaru chat together. Love Live! School Idol Festival ALL STARS Ruby says she wants to be a school idol with Hanamaru. Ruby finds her and tells her how she knows that Hanamaru actually liked it, because she saw her smiling with everyone, and looking at the μ's magazine a lot. Hanamaru eventually gives up trying to be an idol. After Ruby is out of sight, Hanamaru meets with Dia and tells her to respect Ruby's feelings. Hanamaru finally catches up and tells Ruby to keep going. She lies to the others that she's just a little out of breath and for them to continue. While joining Aqours in training, Ruby stops running up the stairs when she sees Hanamaru lagging behind. Hanamaru suggests they do a Trial Period which Ruby agrees to. She asks Ruby, who is uncertain due to her shyness and Dia. Later Hanamaru thinks it over, and decides she wants to be one. She thinks she's not cut out for one anyway, and Hanamaru agrees that she's fine not doing it either. When Ruby saw that Hanamaru had seen her, she became flustered and hid behind the book, but both slowly smiled at each other.Īfter Chika tries and fails to get the two to join Aqours, Ruby tells Hanamaru about her sister Dia's hate for school idols. Hanamaru first noticed her reading an idol magazine. The two would often spend their time there, and ended up bonding.
The two met in junior high school in the library.
